Prayer Request & Praise Reports

The following is a list of prayer needs of church members and people we know who need or have requested we be in prayer for them.  We encourage you to pray for these needs.  We believe strongly in the effetiveness of prayer.  If you have a prayer need please send it to us using the "Contact Us" page.  This request goes directly to the Pastor only.  Please mark the request "not for publication" if you don't want it listed on this prayer request page.  The pastor will consider it a private matter, will pray for you and will not share it with others.

There is something you need to know about prayer.  If you have never accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior God will not hear your prayers.  The only prayer God will receive from and unsaved person is the prayer requesting God to save you and make you a part of the family of God.  To get in a right relationship with God you need to be saved.  "How do I get saved?" you may be asking.  Look at the 2nd Page Tab above called "How Do I Get Saved."  Read it and do what it says.  Repent of your sins. Ask God to forgive you and invite Jesus into your heart to be your Lord and Savior.  After you have done this the Holy Spirit of God will come into your heart to live and stay with you and God will hear all your prayers and answer all your prayers.  In addition to answering your prayers God will begin to do wonderful things in your life that you have never experienced before.  Be sure to send me an email to let me know you have accepted Chrsit as your Savior so we can pray for you.  Find a good Bible teaching, Bible believing church to join, like Crosby New Hope Baptist Church that will support you in your development as a new Christian.

I want to encourage you to make it a habit to pray for yourself, your family, your church family,  friends, coworkers, fellow students, teachers, the leadership of your church, for those who despitefully use us and abuse us, and  for the leaders of our government-like them or not-because the Bible tells us to do it so for our own good.  As the Apostle Paul wrote to Timothy in 1st Timothy chapter 2:1-3:

Ti 2:1  I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men;
1Ti 2:2  For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.
1Ti 2:3  For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour; (King James Version of the Bible)

The disciples asked Jesus to teach them to pray.   Jesus gave them a model prayer to guide them in praying.  It is found in Matthew 6:9-13:

Mat 6:9  After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.
Mat 6:10  Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.
Mat 6:11  Give us this day our daily bread.
Mat 6:12  And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.
Mat 6:13  And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.

If you're not accustomed to praying may I suggest that you begin by reading the model prayer above and then just add to it by praying something like this:

Heavenly Father, I bring before You my needs and the prayer needs on this list.  I ask you to meet these needs according to Your will for each of these people.  I also ask for Your help and blessings in my own life for (state the need or circumstance).    God, I also want to ask for Your help and blessings for (name who it is) with their (state the need or circumstance).  Thank you Father God for hearing my prayers and answering them, in Jesus name I pray. Amen.
